The rain did not faze any of the women who attended the pool party turned lecture and lounge party, hosted by Elena Safir. The event was held on September 13, right in between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.Shula Winner, co-director of Neshama – Chabad Lubavitch of Manhattan Beach, spoke about the importance of the week between these two High Holidays, and how the days of this week correspond to all the days of the past year.
There was also a “Get to Know You” game to meet all the new faces. The ladies enjoyed lovely deli sandwiches and stayed, talking and chatting, late into the night.
