Simchat Torah on the Street 2010
Thursday, Sep 30
The weather channel was threatening rain all day on Thursday of Simchat Torah. With this worry looming overhead the Winner’s still prepared for the annual traditional celebration on the street.
“What will you do if it rains, Rabbi?” was a question he got numerous times. The rain will just have to wait. Simchat Torah will NOT get washed out. As it turns out the rain held up making it more comfortable for the Yeshivah Bachurim who walked from Crown Heights, the rain would not deter them from coming. In the end it was a beautiful Simchat Torah celebration on Corbin Pl after all.
Adults and Children alike had the chance to kiss the torah and dance. The scrumptious spread and the constant singing kept the crowd on their feet.
This event is one of the many programs that Neshama – Chabad Lubavitch of Manhattan Beach offers. For more info visit www.ChabadManhattanBeach.com.
