Our Step Up Club is going along extremely well and the girls are having a great time! The theme we're focused on this year is "A Thread of Kindness".

This past meeting we focused on the Mitzvah of tzedakah (charity) and how there are actually 8 different levels to giving charity!

After learning we had some fun spray
painting our own tshirts!

Step Up -- Meeting #2!!

In continuation of our "Thread of Kindness" theme, we started our meeting off with watching a short movie/clip, and what goes perfectly with that?? Popcorn of course!!

We learned that even if you don't see it, every good thing you do, no matter how big or small, has an affect on the world that is bigger than you'll ever realize!

Pix of last meeting and more pix...

Our third meeting was a load of fun!

"It's not all Black & White"

We learned this from one of our foremothers, Rochel.

Rochel was betrothed to Yaakov. Knowing that her father was a sly man and might switch Rochel for her sister Leah, gave her signs so that he'll know if he was marrying the right sister. Lavan (Rochel's father) did indeed switch the two sisters and sent Leah to marry Yaakov. Rochel now had the choice to either give the signs away and in turn give away her chance to marry Yaakov, or keep the signs to herself and end up with the embarrassment of her sister.

She chose to give up her signs. We learn from her that sometimes choices are not always as simple as we would like them to be.

Sunday Funday is for children as much as it is for parents to have an afternoon to not have to entertain the kids :)

So far this year we've had two spectacular Sunday Funday programs!
