Yom Kippur @ PS 225 auditorium 2010

The prayers services on Yom Kippur were just inspirational. The hundreds of people that filled the PS 225 auditorium, the many children who got to learn and play of what really Yom Kippur is all about was magnificent.

What was unique about this service was, the Rabbi, Rabbi Avrohom Winner narrated throughout the prayer service with different lessons, kabbalistic thoughts and explanations.

The power of everyone’s involvement and togetherness in the prayers was just remarkable.

The final and closing prayer of Yom Kippur – the neilah was just magnificent. Seeing hundreds packed in, listening attentively to the Rabbi’s inspiring words requesting the audience in taking upon themselves a resolution for the New Year, a mitzvah that they either never did before or have done it sporadically to begin keeping it more consistently.

“What truly captivated me was the seriousness and concentration when every person man, and women had ‘their’ moment to kiss the Torah,” said Mark a constant member of the Synagogue.
